Three-Way Calling

Thanks to Three-Way Calling, you can make plans on the phone with two people at once without having to call them separately. This service is available on a monthly subscription or pay-per-use basis.

To bring a third person in on a conversation

  • Ask the person with whom you are speaking to stay on the line.
  • Press the receiver button briefly. Listen for three beeps followed by a dial tone.

To use the service on a pay-per-use basis (95 cents per call), dial *71 and listen for three beeps followed by a dial tone.

  • Dial the number of the person you want to join the conversation.
  • When the third person answers, press the receiver button again. Three-Way Calling is now established.
  • If there is no answer or the line is busy, press the receiver button twice. You are now reconnected to your first caller.
  • If you want to try to reach another person, press the receiver button briefly again. Listen for three beeps followed by a dial tone. Dial the number you want to reach.

If you dial a wrong number

  • Press the receiver button twice. Listen for three beeps followed by a dial tone.
  • Dial the telephone number again.

To disconnect from the third person

  • Press the receiver button briefly. You will be reconnected with your first caller.

Either of the people you have called can hang up at any time without breaking the connection between yourself and the other person. If you hang up, however, the connection to both parties will be broken since you are the one who established the Three-Way Calling.

Three-Way Calling and Call Waiting cannot be used at the same time.

Three-Way Calling does not work if two or more phones on your line are in use simultaneously.
