Intercommunication service transforms your telephone into an intercom, so you can talk to anyone in the house, or an outbuilding, without having to go looking for them. All the phones must be connected to the same telephone line.
How to use Intercommunication:
Lift the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
Dial your telephone number.
Listen for the busy tone and hang up.
All phones will ring.
The ring ends when someone in the house picks up the receiver.
Lift the receiver. You are on line with this person.
If no one answers the phone, lift the receiver and hang up to cancel the intercom call.
This service can also be used to signal someone in the house to answer an incoming call, without having to go looking for them.
To use this option:
While you are on
the phone with your caller, press the Link key.
Dial your telephone
number.
Listen for the
busy tone and hang up.
All phones will
ring.
The ring ends when
someone in the house picks up the receiver. The communication is activated.
If no one answers
the phone, lift the receiver and tell your caller that the person is
not available.
Call Management Services are available where technology permits.
