Yesterday evening, the Centre d’Interaction Proximédia was awarded the prize for “New Investment Project” in the “large company” category at the 2002 Mercuriades competition run by the Quebec Chamber of Commerce.
Of 61 finalists, 17 companies were awarded trophies. Three companies were in the running for the “New Investment Project” award: Merk Frosst Canada, Boralex and Proximédia.
"We owe this award to the confidence and support of our directors, Télébec, the National Bank of Canada and A. de la Chevrotière, but above all to the excellent work of our employees, who have made Proximédia a firm to be reckoned with in Quebec. In addition, the visibility that this recognition brings will have a positive impact on the growth of our company,” says Roger Gauthier, President of Proximédia.
This prestigious competition has been paying homage to Quebec companies that contribute to the socioeconomic development of the province for the last 22 years. More than 1000 members of the business community attended the Mercuriades closing gala, with magician Alain Choquette as master of ceremonies. The gala will be broadcast on TVA in the evening of June 9.
