Télébec Mobilité is proud to announce that investments totalizing $1 800 000 are planned for the Abitibi-Témiscamingue area between now and the end of March 2004. In fact, the company will offer cellular service to a completely new district next September, Matagami, afterwards increase cellular coverage in the Rouyn-Noranda district by building two new towers and finally, introduce digital technology in the Ville-Marie district.
“By investing in the region, Télébec Mobilité once again confirms its commitment to offer extensive cellular coverage to residents of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue area, a challenge of no small scope given the vast territory we serve and the sparsely scattered population,” says Natalie Frackleton, General Manager – Mobility Product Management.
The company emphasizes that the technology that will be used is digital, with its many advantages for customers: guaranteed call confidentiality, more reliable service, longer-lasting cell phone batteries and access to a wide variety of sophisticated applications.
“As this initiative shows, Télébec Mobilité is unquestionably a dynamic force in the community,” concludes Nathalie Frackleton.
