February 12, 2004 - Télébec Mobilité is investing over $1.6 million to make wireless communications even easier for its subscribers. The Company recently put a new digital cell site into service in Rouyn-Noranda that will definitely improve cellular coverage in the industrial park, downtown and the southeastern section of Rouyn-Noranda including Granada, McWatters, the airport and the road to Beaudry.
“These investments also include construction of a new digital cell site in the Mont Kékéko area next June, as well as construction of another digital tower near Duparquet by the end of 2004,” said Richard Hélie, Vice-President – Sales and Strategic Solutions at Télébec.
“Construction of the new towers is in line with our customer-oriented approach aimed at making life easier and improving wireless services for them. Ultimately these new facilities are excellent news for all our customers in the Rouyn-Noranda region as well as for those in Abitibi-West,” he added.
In improving cellular coverage in the territory it serves, Télébec Mobilité is once again proving that it is a dynamic enterprise in the community and above all, that it listens to its customers.
