Télébec Limited Partnership and MetaSwitch, a leading provider of next generation switching and applications solutions, have announced the launch of a joint project to offer digital telephone services (also known as digital voice, voice over IP, or IP telephony) to Télébec customers. This strategic, multi-year partnership hinges on the deployment of the infrastructure needed to launch the new services based on Télébec’s IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) architecture.
