The special network set up by Télébec relies on the power and dependability of digital technology. This technological platform ensures the public the surest and fastest possible access to help. The system is foolproof and safe from interruption!

And affordable

An amount of $0.42 is added to your telephone bill each month. This goes to defray the costs incurred by Télébec in setting up the 9-1-1 emergency service.

Also at the request of the municipal authorities concerned, Télébec collects an amount of $0.54 on its monthly phone bills. This sum is remitted each month to the municipalities for the administration and management of the 9-1-1 Call Centre. A total of $0.96 a month is thus added to your telephone bill.

These costs are minimal if you consider how much the 9-1-1 emergency service is worth. As well, implementing such a system and sharing the costs among the whole population served by the service is the only way the 9-1-1 emergency service can be offered at a reasonable cost to you.
